Information we collect

How your app data is stored

Your account and app data are stored on our secure backend (Supabase). Once you create an account, your questionnaire answers, streak and check-in history, and private journal entries are saved server-side in a database record tied only to your logged-in account — protected by access controls (Row-Level Security) so that no one else's account can read your data, even though the app itself. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and, by default, at rest. A copy also lives locally on your device as an offline cache so the app works instantly and without a connection, and syncs back up once you're online. Before you create an account, nothing is sent to our servers. You can access, export, or delete your data as described under "Your privacy rights" below.

How we use your information

We do not use your faith, journal, prayer, or mood information to target advertising, and we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Email — your choices

Opting in to marketing email is optional. Every commercial email we send includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. To stop, use the unsubscribe link, reply "unsubscribe," or email support@anchoredfaith.app. We honor opt-outs promptly. Transactional messages you need — receipts, subscription and renewal notices, and cancellation confirmations — are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, each acting on our instructions and only as needed:

Cookies, pixels, and your choices

We use cookies and pixels (including the Meta pixel) to run and measure our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC).

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA, and the EU/UK GDPR where it applies), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, request a copy, request correction or deletion, and opt out of certain sharing. Because religious belief and emotional/mental-state information are treated as sensitive personal information (CCPA/CPRA) or special-category data (GDPR), we limit our use of it to providing the service you asked for, we do not sell or share it, and — where GDPR applies — we process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@anchoredfaith.app. We complete verified deletion requests within 5 business days.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we verify your identity before acting on a request.

Not medical or mental-health care

Anchored is a spiritual-growth and devotional tool. It is not medical, psychological, or mental-health treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, licensed counselor, pastor, or professional care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or dial 911. See our full Crisis & Care Disclaimer.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account information at any time (see "Your privacy rights" above).

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information under our control, including encryption in transit and at rest for server-side data, and per-account access controls that keep one member's data from another's. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site and services are for adults and are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

International users

Anchored is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the US, you understand your information is processed in the US.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify you.
